About Us
The Big Important Decisions Council (TBIDC) is a nonpartisan, non-incorporated, entirely sovereign body dedicated to the drafting, proposing, and general conjuring of model legislation, policy frameworks, and international treaties for the betterment of civilization, or at least a meaningful portion of it.
The Council was established on the foundational belief that good ideas shouldn't require a committee, a budget, or a business card to be taken seriously. We operate with the full conviction of a think tank, the overhead of a library card, and the bureaucratic footprint of a strongly-worded letter.
What We Do
The TBIDC produces model acts, proposed bills, policy recommendations, and draft treaties spanning a broad range of issues. These documents are made freely available for the public, for legislators, for concerned citizens, and for anyone who has ever read a law and thought I could do better than that.
Who We Are
The Council's membership and organizational structure are, by design, not subject to public disclosure. What we can confirm is that deliberations are rigorous, the coffee is adequate, and quorum is always met.
A Note on Our Work
Nothing produced by the TBIDC constitutes legal advice, official policy, or binding international law, yet. All model legislation is offered in the spirit of public discourse and democratic participation. We encourage readers to take our proposals seriously, share them widely, and pressure their representatives accordingly.
The Council speaks for no government, no corporation, and no political party. We speak only for the ideas themselves.
